Registration Costs – More information to come.

In order to ensure that the check-in process is as efficient as possible, we will not be accepting any new registrations at the door. We ask that all registrations be submitted no later than one week in advance of the tournament date.

Check-in Times

All competitors are required to check in no less than 30 minutes before tournament start. Draw sheets for all divisions will be available by the check-in table for review.

 

Required equipment for all Kumite competitors
  • WKF Style body protector

  • WKF Style shin / foot pads

  • WKF Style gloves

  • Jock / Jill

  • Mouth guard

  • Female competitors in divisions above youth are required to wear a WKF approved female chest protector under the body protector.

  • Pre-novice kumite competitors are recommended to wear over the gi style body protector rather than a WKF style body protector.

 

All Kumite competitors are responsible for their own equipment, and must have both red and blue sets, including belts.


Any competitor can register to compete in a division above their current age appropriate division. This is subject to the following conditions:

  1. The competitor must also be registered in their age appropriate division, AND

  2. The competitor must qualify to compete in that division at the next National Championships.

 

All Grand Prix / Elite divisions will follow WKF Rules (effective date January 1, 2020), with the following exceptions:

  • Face mask and children’s body protection are optional for Novice / Youth Kumite divisions. Standard WKF Style body protection may be used.

  • All recreation and Grand Prix divisions will be double-elimination, unless the division has only three competitors, in which case, the division will be round-robin.
