If you want to be part of this year’s Rugby event you can register here!

This year’s event is being used as a Canada Games identification tournament.  We will host a 7s tournament for Boys U18 and Girls U17 at the UNBSJ Canada Games Stadium.  Rugby NB have selected the coaches and will have executives in attendance spotting talent.
Tournament kick-off is Friday, June 23rd at 6:00pm with the tournament finals being played Saturday afternoon.   In addition, the New Brunswick Women’s 7s Team will play 2 feature matches.  Tournament specifics are as follows:

–  Tournament kick-off is Friday, June 23rd at 6:00pm with the tournament finals being played Saturday afternoon.
–  8 teams total (4 boys teams and 4 girls teams)
–  Selected coaches have elite coaching and playing experience.
–  This is an identification tournament for the upcoming 2025 Canada Games.  Athletes attending the identification tournament will walk away from this experience with not only improved on-field skills and knowledge to continue to develop their rugby, but also a genuine sense of what it means to be part of the NB Rugby environment and the enjoyment and connection that comes with that.  With on-going player tracking and development, this tournament engages emerging athletes as they prepare for their future rugby aspirations, including representing their province at the highest level.
–  In addition to the identification tournament, 2 feature matches will be played on Friday night pitting the New Brunswick Women’s Spruce Team against the New Brunswick Women’s Barbarians Team.

UNB will be opening a canteen at the stadium for the rugby event.  The canteen will be open from 9am to 4pm on the 24th.  They will be serving beverages, snacks, hot dogs, french fries, etc.
